Hubs

The OAKS works with a large and ever-growing number of schools across our regions which provide unique and diverse placements for our trainee teachers, along with additional enrichment experiences to ensure that our provision is second to none.

Our schools are grouped into hubs. These are based around geographical areas where schools are in relatively close proximity to the lead school in that area or have an association with the lead school. However, there are anomalies – the Birmingham and Black Country Hub has an academy in Tenbury, Worcestershire and our Stafford Hub contains schools from Stone, Rugeley and Cannock.

In addition to our numerous mainstream schools and academies (including several faith schools), we also work with a number of providers of alternative education, including specialist providers of special educational needs and disability (SEND) provision, pupil referral units (PRUs), English as an additional language (EAL) specialist schools and independent schools. This allows our trainee teachers to fully experience the diverse nature of the education sector in this country and beyond.
