Who we are
The OAKS is an Ofsted outstanding provider of initial teacher training, working with hubs spread geographically across the UK. Our mission is to nurture future professionals and give back to the local communities through high quality teacher recruitment, education and retention.
In October, we launched The OAKS Norfolk, which will now maintain and enhance the current outstanding provision that The OAKS offers. This hub is led by our lead school, Ormiston Venture Academy.

Partnership schools and the lead school
There are seven schools in the Norfolk Hub.

Ormiston Venture Academy in Gorleston-on-Sea is a mixed secondary school for 11- to 16-year-olds. The academy is totally committed to raising aspirations and shaping the future of learning for its young people, ensuring they become valuable and active members of the communities in which they live.

- Broadland High Ormiston Academy
- City of Norwich School, An Ormiston Academy
- Cliff Park Ormiston Academy
- Flegg High Ormiston Academy
- Ormiston Denes Academy
- Ormiston Venture Academy (lead school)
- Ormiston Victory Academy

Our academy is committed to providing world class education for all students regardless of background, through a relentless focus on personalised, high-quality teaching in the classroom in partnership with a comprehensive pastoral support package. Our trainees benefit from a high-quality programme of in-school support and training in additional to the excellent training provided by The OAKS Norfolk. The combination of these programmes will help equip trainees with the skills, knowledge and practice to become highly effective teachers.
